Project Objective: A woodland home for a recently retired - but very active couple. The 4200 square foot house bends to best sit on its site on a hillside. The floor plan is elongated to take maximum advantage of the views across the woods to the ridge beyond. A large deck and plentiful windows and doors help connect the indoors to the outdoors.

All the primary living spaces, including the master-bedroom are on the first floor and issues of accessibility have been considered to ensure the longest possible use of the house by our clients. The upper level has additional rooms for frequent visits from children and grandkids.
